Re iridology
My dad used to tell of the time he went to have his eyes checked and the lady opthalmologist looked into his eyes and murmured gently to him in a sweet Irish accent:
“Have you ever been troubled with piles?”
I dunno. I’m just sayin’
I have heard of one medical condition (aside from eye disease/damage) where diagnosis involves examining the iris, sort of; look up Wilson’s Disease, and especially Kayser–Fleischer Rings. It even feels sort of subtly Lovecraftean; Have you seen the copper ring?
Bit late to the party, but as far as organists and the occult in Belle Epoque Paris:
Erik Satie was the main composer for Péladan’s splinter group of Rosicrucians, and also wrote church organ music—specifically, a very odd and (and weirdly mathematical, and also to some people quite creepy-sounding) piece titled “Mass for the Poor”:

Satie as the connective tissue for the Belle Epoque era of a YKRPG campaign could be quite interesting, actually!
